Another great site worth mentioning: soundsnap.com –An account is required, and only 5 free downloads are allowed per month without paying. –But sounds have great quality, amazing selection, great search and preview device. –Definitely worth making an account, even if you only get 5 free sounds. I researched and tested all of these sites and came up with this Here’s the list: 1.freesound.iua.upf.edu -25000 sounds -Majority of them are good quality -Have to make an account, but it’s worth it! 2. www.flashkit.com -7000 sounds -Not bad quality -Really good preview device -Hard to navigate, since it only previews 6 or so per page. 3. www.therecordist.com -Really good quality -Not the biggest selection (125 sounds) 4. www.hollywoodedge.com (click on “Free Sound Effects”) -INSANELY GOOD QUALITY -Small Selection 5. http -2000 sounds -Not the best quality, it’s decent -Good Organization, easy to find desired sounds 6. ljudo.com -Good Organization (search) -Decent Quality -Search doesn’t always work 7. amazingsounds.iespana.es -Pretty big selection -Decent quality -some broken links (I forgot to mention this site, but it would be listed here) www.sounddogs.com -Huge selection -Not the best quality 8. fxhome.com -Small selection -Some have great quality, others don’t 9. www.a1freesoundeffects.com -Decent selection -Not too great quality 10. www.brandens.net -Bad quality -Hard to find specific sounds (no description, etc.)
